(U.S.) UL4200A: Certification Introduction of 2023 Battery Standard's New Regulations

Recently, button batteries have caused frequent hazards due to accidental ingestion by children.
Therefore, the United States has passed legislation requiring that button batteries and products containing button batteries that are used in general household environments must meet additional safety requirements. : ANSI/UL 4200A-202A, Button battery or Coin battery product's safety regulations, has been recognized as a safety standard.
The content includes test items for abnormal use (drop, impact, squeeze, twist, pull, compression and safety for battery case), as well as product structure requirements, labels, and user manual's requirements.
This bill (Reese's Law) was enacted on September 21, 2023, and will become mandatory on March 19, 2024.
This means that from the enforcement date, when you export your product in to the United States, they must comply with the requirements of the Act.
